More than half of online grooming offences recorded under a law that made it illegal to send sexual messages to children were committed on Facebook-owned apps, figures reveal.The data, obtained by the NSPCC聽under freedom of information laws, show 10,019 offences of sexual communication with a child were recorded since the legislation was introduced in April 2017.In incidents where the means of communication was provided, more than half were committed on the Facebook-owned apps of Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.The revelations come at a difficult time for Facebook, which is facing calls to postpone plans to implement end-to-end encryption across all its messaging platforms. This would mean messages 鈥?including text and imagery 鈥?being digitally scrambled so that only the sender and receiver can make sense of them. The company has been told this could risk increased sexual exploitation of children.The NSPCC has called on the prime minister to urgently press ahead with new legislation in the online harms bill, which it says would help prevent offenders from using social media to target children for sexual abuse.The NSPCCs聽chief executive, Peter Wanless, who met Boris Johnson at a  hidden harms  summit last week, said:  Child abuse is an inconvenient truth for tech bosses, who have failed to make their sites safe and enabled offenders to use them as a playground in which to stanley sverige  groom our kids. Speak for England, Peaches! This must be the cry sent up by a nation searching for heroes it can believe in, as multi-hyphenate Peaches Geldof finds the law simply failing to keep pace with her self-elevation into a vigilante with a penchant for appearing in Hello! magazine.But first, a recap: to the job description model-journalist-whatever, let us add the epithet justice dispenser, after Peaches took it upon herself to tweet the alleged names of the two women who allowed their babies to be horrifically sexually abused by the Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins. After some hours, and stanley cup  numerous people poi stanley thermos nting out that she was effectively identifying the baby victims, it appears to have dawned on Peaches 鈥?or more likely her agent or lawyer 鈥?that perhaps the tweets ought to be deleted.Alas, the realisation did not come quite quick enough for South Wales police, who confirmed they were investigating whether to prosecute her, with the attorney general s office reiterating that  victims of sexual offences have automatic lifetime anonymity and the publication of names or information which can lead to their being identified is a criminal offence . Having slept on this ingratitude for her efforts on Thursday night, Peaches has now offered stanley cup nz  a quarter-arsed apology for having been a quarter-wit.  The question of wether or not to give anonymity to criminals in cases like this will go on forever,  intoned madam 鈥?and you may care to know there is a [sic] bag in the rear

Those workers fortunate enough to be in permanent jobs have a high level of job protection, while those workers on temporary contracts have a much lower level of rights. The reclassification of cannabis from a class C to a class B drug has finally come into effect. The government defied expert scientific and medical opinion, which opposed reclassification on the grounds that cannabis is not as harmful as other class B drugs and that its harm was not sufficient to warrant harsher penalties. The government s own Advisory Council of the Misuse of Drugs recommended that it should remain a class C drug.Ignoring the expert evidence, the home secretary, Jacqui Smith, caved in to irrational, ill-informed anti-cannabis hysteria. Meanwhile, the most socially harmful drugs, alcohol and tobacco, remain legal and outside the scope of anti-drugs legislation.This selective get-tough-on-drugs policy seems motivated by the government s cynical desire to win few extra votes from Daily Mail readers. It has little to do with any genuine or effective attempt to encourage less frequent and safer cannabis use via advice such as:  Eat it, don t smoke it  and  Every day  Perhaps not good. Libyan forces guarding Muammar Gaddafi s body in a cold storage room let in members of the public to view the deposed leader for a second day on Saturday, but the wounds that may hold the clue to how he died were covered up.               Gaddafi s body lay on a mattress on the floor of the cold room, as it did on Friday when hundreds of members of the public filed in to see for themselves that the man who ruled Libya for 42 years was dead.  But unlike the previous day, Gaddafi s body was covered by a blanket  stanley cup that left only his head exposed, hiding the bruises on his torso and scratch marks on his chest that had earlier been visible. We shall try to learn it and tell you later,  it said. For emphasis, the words  either secret agent or her boyfriend  were in bold and underlined. The posting refers to the bizarre incident in which a 53-year-old American, John Yettaw, swim across a lake to Aung San Suu Kyi s house.            Read breaking news, latest...  See more   Read breaking news, latest updates from US, UK, Pakistan and other countries across the world on topics related to US Election Live, politics,crime, and national affairs.   air max 1   News / World  adidas campus News / Suu Kyi has boyfriend, says Myanmar envoy      .freemium-card h4{color: fff; padding-bottom:20px;} .freemium-card .freemium-content .subcTxt{padding-bottom:16px; color: fff;} .freemium-card .freemium-content{width: auto; max-width: inherit;} .freemium-card .freemium-content .subcTxt{max-width:inherit;
